Asphalt paving covers a lot of ground for less money up front than concrete. That makes it a common pick for long driveways, parking lots and private roads. We pave new asphalt in Modesto and the Valley towns around it. We also repair asphalt that has cracked, sunk or broken into potholes.
We are Concrete Solutions, and asphalt work is part of what we do. That helps on jobs that need both materials, like a parking lot with concrete curb and gutter around it. One company grades the base, paves the asphalt and pours the concrete edges. Estimates are free and done on site. Call or text (209) 606-9904.

An asphalt driveway makes sense when there is a lot of ground to cover. Long rural driveways, shared lanes and big parking areas are the usual cases. Asphalt goes down fast, and it costs less up front than concrete.
Driveway paving starts with the ground under it. We strip the area, grade it to drain and compact a rock base. Hot mix asphalt is spread over the base and rolled while it is still hot. The edges are shaped and packed so they hold up when a tire rides over them.
Asphalt and concrete each have a place. Asphalt costs less to put in. Concrete costs more and lasts longer. We also pour concrete driveways, so we can price the same layout both ways.
Parking lot paving is about water and weight. The lot has to slope so rain runs to the drains and stays out of the base. The rock base and the asphalt are sized for the traffic, since delivery trucks load pavement harder than cars. On larger lots we can pave in sections, so part of the lot stays open.
Asphalt repair depends on what failed. A pothole or a sunken spot gets a saw cut patch. We cut a clean square, dig out the bad asphalt and fix the base under it. New hot mix goes in and gets compacted flush with the old surface.
Cracking that looks like alligator skin means the base has failed, and those areas get removed and rebuilt. Where the base is still sound, an asphalt overlay puts a new surface over the old pavement. Dumpster pads and loading areas take loads that dent asphalt in the heat. Those spots do better as commercial concrete pads, and we pour them too.
We are based in Modesto and work about 65 miles out. That covers Stockton, Turlock, Manteca, Tracy, Merced, Lodi, Ceres, Oakdale, Riverbank and Patterson. Ripon, Salida and Hughson are on the way. The Sacramento area is our north end and the Fresno area is our south end.
Valley weather shapes the schedule. Asphalt has to be placed and rolled while it is hot, so paving needs firm, dry ground and a dry day. Winter rain and tule fog can push a job back. Summer heat is fine for paving, but new asphalt stays soft longer when days run over 100 degrees.
The pavement on your property is one job, and the approach at the street is another. Work in the public right of way needs an encroachment permit from the city or county before anyone paves. We look up the rule for your address and help you get the permit sorted.

(209) 606-9904From the first call or text to the finished pavement, here is how it goes.
Call or text (209) 606-9904 and tell us what you want paved or patched. You can send photos of the area if you have them.
We come out to measure the area and check the slope, the drainage and the ground under it. Old pavement gets checked for signs that the base has failed.
You get a written estimate. It lists the area, the base work, the asphalt thickness and what the price covers.
We grade and compact the base, then place the hot mix asphalt and roll it while it is hot. Patches get saw cut edges and a repaired base first.
We clean up the site and tell you when the new asphalt can take cars. You also get simple care tips for the first few months.
