Riverbank counts about 7,378 homes. Census figures put 2,656 of them in the 2000s and another 1,805 in the 1990s. Only 356 have gone up in 2010 or later, under 5 percent of the stock. Most concrete work here happens in a yard that already has a house on it.

Riverbank gives residents two free ADU plan sets, a 405 square foot studio and a 744 square foot one bedroom. The city updated both to the 2025 California Building Code. A building permit and a site review still apply, and the Building Division runs its own inspectors.

USDA maps soils like the San Joaquin series across these low river terraces. The series carries a cemented hardpan 20 to 40 inches down, and water sits on it instead of soaking away. A city study west of town found about 14 feet of fall across 381 acres. Flat ground like that means slope gets built into the pour.
The old Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant on Claus Road is now the Riverbank Industrial Complex. The city counts 175 acres and 39 active businesses there in manufacturing, recycling and industrial services. Floors, pads and yards on a site like that wear out faster than any driveway.
We pour equipment pads, machine bases, dumpster pads, loading areas and walkways on commercial sites. Curb and gutter, parking lot concrete and tenant improvement work get formed the same way.
